I've seen this recently on my friend's notebook. Service centre said that a software update must have failed. If the Windows boot options fail as they have for you then the only course is to recover the system. This will overwrite the Windows partition which includes anything in your user folders (desktop, my documents, my pictures etc). The data could be copied before you recover if you can take the drive out and attach it to a working computer.

Perhaps once you get your OS sorted out it'll fix your CAPS LOCK PROBLEM and mmby yr cnsnants wll wrk again. If you've got time for stomping icons, you've got time to type properly.

    Otherwise, what discobay said.

Not for the faint hearted but Ubuntu Linux OS will run direct from CD if access to the data is what you need, there are ways to fix hard drive problems when that system is up.

If you can get the harddrive out often all is needed is to run CHKDSK and antivirus on that drive in another machine.

Even now in XP I still use FAT32 instead of NTFS so i can access the drive from a floppy and fix problems.

Most shops in the computer malls in 298 Wanchai or Golden SSP will fix it for a few dollars and keep your data.

Good luck, Ive been there too many times.

There are a lot of tech-savvy posters on Geo. You probably would have gotten more help and less sarcasm if you could post like a grown up instead of an emo teenager.

Like it or not, people will treat you as you present yourself on the internet.

If you still need help for this, you can bring your PC to any computer store that fixes PC's, they can restore your OS for you by reinstalling it, at your request, they will also back up anything they find on your system drive prior to reinstalling and burn in onto a DVD, this whole deal should cost roughly $500-600 last I checked.

You don have any naked pictures of yourself with countless girls on there right? (remembering the edison chen scandal case) LoL....
