Connecting wireless router to netvigator broadband

PCCW finally got some more lines to out building so after a long wait we now have broadband and Now TV.

However, when they came to install the wireless router that had been given to us by the previous tenants turned out to have a password we don't know. So we're bought a new one (Airport Express) and now trying to connect it up. Plugged it in and PC and Mac can pick up the signal - but that's as far as we get!

Broadband working fine via fixed cable.

Does anyone know how to set it up? Thanks

When you say "broadband working fine via fixed cable" you mean connecting the computer directly to the PCCW modem via a cable?

If so, then what you need to do is to configure the airport express to do the PPPoE login for your account. You need to find the appropriate configuration screen and enter beanieskis@netvigator.com / <password> in the appropriate fields. Your computers should NOT then try to login to Netvigator directly since the router does that for them.

Yes works fine connected to the modem via cable. Struggling to find anywhwere to enter those passwords though. In the Network connections box I click on the change settings of this connection link and it gives me the options General, Wireless Networks and Advanced.
Would it be one of those or am I looking in the wrong place? I'm using a PC.

We need someone who has an Airport Express - I've never used one I'm afraid.

Have you considered reading the user manual?

There's an Apple Airport administration utility you install on your PC in order to configure the settings. It has a setup wizard, so easy to follow the steps.
