This annoys the hell out of me, and Citibank are huge culprits for it. You can't do ANYTHING without faxing in 15 (exaggeration!) forms. Why have web applications if it can't be done online? Who faxes things anymore anyway! Its unreliale, and I can't imagine its very secure.
I've lost count of the conversations I've had that go roughly like this:
Alan: "Can I email the form?"
Citi: "no fax please"
Alan: "webiste?"
Citi: "sorry fax is better"
Alan: "Why?"
Citi: "not sure why, it just is. Please fax"
Alan: "How about in person if I drop it in?"
Citi: "no it must be faxed in"
Alan "Ok I will fax it in......."
Alan "Did you get my fax?"
Citi: "Sorry it must have got lost, can you fax it in again?"
Alan: "Ok did you get my fax this time?"
Citi: "Yes we did, but the quality isn't very good. Can you fax it in again"
Alan: "That's because you are using a ******* fax machine. I give up!"
Unfortunately I'm stuck with Citibank for the time bing as its company policy that we use them. I'm fighting to the death to change that.
