    Bank of America?

This may seem like an easy question for me to find out on my own, but it hasn't been, really.

I have a BofA acct in the USA. I know there used to be a BofA here in HK, but I think it was sold to China Construction bank. Is there any BofA here anymore?

Is there an easy way for me to deposit money in my BofA acct here in HK?

    Same name different banks.

I too had a BoA account in the USA and when I came to the Asia tried to link the two accounts. Although, years ago I learned that if I was to have a BoA here in HK that I would need a separate account if i desired to transfer funds btwn the 2 accounts then there would be a transfer fee involved.

Two options to consider instead of BoA:
    Citibank or HSBC

    >> Citibank or HSBC

One easy option that I've discovered and am testing as we speak is etrade. The biggest benefit is that I can transfer money for free by depositing into their HKD HSBC account. Money is theoretically deposited in the US account within two working days - no transfer charge.

Have to see what exchange rates they give.

US$ check book and US$ debit card were part of the account.

I'm excited to know more please! I'm a current eTrade account holder and if this works out for you I may have hit the jackpot. Can you please PM me with more details? Thanks!

Check their website or call their customer service. Its not like I have any secret techniques.

I'm waiting for my USD checks to arrive before I try to fund the account, so it might take a week or so.

Here's what I got back from ETRADE.

Please be advised that the exchange rate we used for converting HKD to USD is the TT rate offered by the bank and such information is not published. If you possess USD account, you can transfer fund to our USD account in either HSBC, Hang Seng Bank or Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong. The link below is our bank account details and deposit procedure for your reference:
