    Lost luggage

I'm currently on holiday and my baggage has been "delayed" by British Airways for the last three days. I get no information when I trace the file number I was given and nothing but an automated menu when I call. In the past, I've never had to go without my luggage for more than a day. Am I entitled to claim reimbursement for all my necessary purchases? I was given 35 pounds in compensation, but this was all spent on socks, underwear, contact lens solution and deoderant. I've also had to buy other toileteries, a change of clothing, another birthday gift for someone and I sorely need my sneakers and a power adaptor for my laptop.

British Airways always loses luggage. Try to avoid them, there are other airlines around.

To be fair, BAA (i.e. LHR) always loses luggage. Personally I am trying to plan future trips to Europe in through CDG or AMS. I believe BA's website gives you details of their compensation policy for delayed baggage, but if you're in Economy it's not a lot...
