Define 'forever'. True, if you arrive at the wrong time in the morning you will have a long wait, but arriving outside those hours, the wait is not long. Collecting is straightforward.

i have been to wan chai issuing office many times, if you wait out side from 8.30, you will get in by 9.05pm, which is not too bad.

Yes, 5 day Shenzhen visa, and I am a HKID holder (not permanent though), just a regular Gweilo HKID, have been living here for 3 years.

I go to Sunrise International Travel. Its literally next door to the Wanchai issuing office and everytime I see the queue there on my way past, I feel quite happy about paying Sunrise's service fee...
