Hey, I just moved to Hong Kong about a week ago. Im a gap year student who is teaching english for the next 8 months. Dont know anyone yet really. Hard to make friends outside of school. would be nice to meet some people my own age.
Jus outta interest. But how can u be teachin when ur only 18LOL
because my English is fantastic in all aspects and i'm good with kids. =D and two years experience doesn't hurt - i started off tutoring the kids who grew up that i babysat when i was 15.
ive been in hk for a month now, and i still dont know that many ppl yet, especially not ppl around my age... im a 19 year old swiss guy, taking a gap year before going to university, and im gonna stay here until early december. I always like to meet new people, so if someone wants to get together for drinks or whatever, pm me or add me in msn
hey Sentino - sent you a PM. :3
seems like this thread should be renamed "kids that are making money before uni that want to hang out with people that are older than 7". XD
hey. is anyone up for meeting for drinks this week? i'm only here in hong kong for another 3 weeks.. but finding people my age seems near impossible. i'm 20 and from the us. send me a pm!
hey does this thread still exist? im 19!! So I'm not quite in my 20s but I guess I'm still a teen maybe?
yep, i'm still here, just. XD where are you staying?
LOL. It looks like a couple of people in this thread are already gone.
While people who approximately the same age might find it easier to get a long and connect with each other than with people in different age groups, they would be divided in terms of interests and personalities. I suggest that you join groups in areas of your interest and you'll probably meet people in your age group.
Muddykins, since you lived in HK before, don't you have some connections to the people in your previous school? ... OR did you leave when you were really young OR did you not socialise with those in lower years?
