Online shopping in Hong Kong - Like amazon ?

Please can you help me? I was wondering if Hong Kong has an online shopping store like amazon, as I'm finding driving to find what I need a bit daunting. Ie for gifts

Online shopping isn't popular in hk as the locals tend to browse and prefer going into physical stores.

What type of thing are you looking for?

Local small operations -> A lot
Amazon like operations -> Taobao

Many online stores such as Amazon will ship to Hong Kong if you can stand the shipping costs.

When ordering items from amazon.co.uk the savings on VAT more than cancel out the postage costs, they usually deliver in less than a week also.

There is no VAT savings on books though and many items will not ship internationally.

Amazon can be extremely good. Two weeks ago I bought an electric razor from them for $1770 inc postage, price in Fortress-$3,700. Arrived in 5 days. Cant beat that.
