    Blonde Hair Dye-Westerners

    Hi,

I have just moved to HK and was wondering if anyone knew of any stores that sell blonde hair dye? Obviously it is not a popular color out here, but I have tried searching at many places and cannot find an American brand. I saw some posts of salons to go to get highlights for westerners but is there anywhere you can buy it yourself? Thanks!

Taste supermarket in Festival Walk has blonde hair dye. You could also try Gateway or Great.

Bender, hair dye yes. But as the prevailing hair colour is black in HK, there is little demand for blonde hair dye here.

Thanks Devila! I will try the Taste Supermarket to see if they have it.

Bendrbends- Watsons, Manning and Parkshop have western hair dye (black, brown) but not blonde. There is one Asian brand I have seen that is blonde, but it would react differently on my hair, usually Asian hair dye is much more harsh.

FestivalWalk didn't have the dye..think I will just have to break down and go to one of the salons around here and hopefully will not have a bad experience! I have read some horror stories on here about the salons.

There are several shops selling professional hair products. I can think of one in Central (Wellington St), Wanchai (Johnson Rd) and Causeway Bay (Goldmark). Sorry, can't recall names.

Try around Lydnhurst Terrace. I seem to recall a post where a hairdresser (Kim Robinson?) said he sold it in Lyndhurst Terrace. Also online strawberry.net sells lots of stuff for blonde hair but not sure if colouring is there. Indulgence, Lyndhurst Terrace has a very good hairdresser and if you go there for some hair treatment they might tell you where to get the DIY.

    i have the same problem

I would also be very interested to know if somebody does find a place where they sell blonde hair dying products in Hong Kong. I didn't expect to have this kind of problem, otherwise I would have brought my own products from Europe. Maybe the only solution is to buy online from Japan, where blonde color is more popular
