Eats in Kennedy Town

With new arrivals in Kennedy Town, it seems they are looking for Western-style places to eat. I know of four places with good western food, low prices, and close to Merton and Manhattan apartments. I will list them for you: Addiction, 2 Sands Street, close to Belcher's Garden and bus stops. Great choice of western and Chinese food, cheap, and they have liquor license.

Will add three more places as soon as I get their address.

Kennedy Town is growing, and the number of places to eat are getting better.

Has anyone been to Bodega Riojana in Kennedy Town? I have been to Sanqiaoyiyi. The food is acceptable, yet the services is not good.

Bodega in Kennedy Town - Food is good. Just don't trust them to get their wine right. BYOB.

Where is Bodega Riojana? Street? Also what type of food? I haven't heard of it.

Also recommend Cafe D Coral, across from new Post Office. The food is very good, menu changes frequently, and a mix of western-Chinese. Prices are very reasonable for large portions. I eat there about once a week.


There is a good Steak House, or Steak Place, about a block from Merton, across from the Circle K on Belchers. The food is ok, Canada and USA grade meats, and service is good. Prices are reasonable, considering it is western style.


One other place I visit often is a Maylasian style, Sabu(?). I always refer to it as the Malasian place, but it is just across from Park n Shop on Belchers. Between two Sushi joints, which I never visit, since I like my food cooked. But try Shabu if you like seafood and good breads.

I do know there are a few Indian joints on the Tram tracks road.

Never known of an Indian restaurant that would have the name Bodega in it.

the Malaysian place is called Sabah, on Belchers Street with really good skewers of beef, lots of good finger food and appetizers, just order a few of them for a good meal, and the frozen coconut drink

La Baguette is decent too, i like the ambiance and decor, very cozy, good burgers, overpriced thin pizzas. Near the basketball courts.

One of my fav. secret little places is Canada Restaurant off of Queens Road right near the Novotel, kinda westerny but served by locals, good shelled prawns. Take the back exit out of the westwood, take a left.

Foodbyweb is great too, theres a button just for KennedyTown, only 5-10 percent service charge at some restaurants, a ton of central restaurants deliver to kt within an hour. Watch out for minimum order prices though.
