Hello,
Can anyone recommend a good clothing alterations place in Kennedy Town. I need to have a few dresses taken in and the zippers changed. I am looking for someone who will do a good job at a reasonable cost.

I have seen an alteration place but haven't tried them yet. It was in the shopping mall below.
Nan Hai Shopping Arcade, 46-47 Kennedy Town Praya,
not a recommendation, but saw a small tailor in the little mall on Smithfield where Fairwood is.
Thank you. I will check both of these out.
Thanks for the info, I have a couple of suits in need re altered for work
It seems I have been eating to much local food again![]()
Might be a bit late posting this, but a bit of a warning: I've used the one in the Nan Hai shopping arcade a couple of times. So cheap and brilliant for easy alterations like hems of jeans, etc. but I had a dress taken in and he didn't actually unpick both sides, but just ran the machine up the side without the zip (didn't cut off excess material or anything), so I ended up taking it somewhere else. I also had a top altered and whilst he did unpick the bits that needed altering he managed to cause a few little holes in the material as a result.
i took mine once to a small clothes shop with a blue board hanging above saying "alterations" - it is next to 28 shun hing building on catchick street (tram line). they did an ok job but i wasn't pleased with their rude attitude so i started taking my clothes to the wet market, next to the smithfield municipal services building.
the stall is on the same floor where they sell vegetables, fruits and clothes. you will know which stall i'm talking about as that's the only stall which has measuring tape, measuring scale, iron, iron board etc at the front. the chinese lady speaks good english and she does a good job BUT she opens weird hours like 10am to 2pm and 4pm to 6pm (or close to these hours) so might not be suitable for office workers to pick up their altered clothes.
well, you can give the first-mentioned "rude" shop a go if you're one of the good people who doesn't care about customer service![]()
