Tennis and/or Table Tennis in Ma Wan or Tsing Yi+

I'm looking to meet people to play tennis and/or table tennis in Hong Kong. I'm currently not working, so my schedule is free. It's cheaper to play before 6p M-F, so if your free then great. If not I'm available afterwards as well.

According to ITF at ITF Tennis - ITN - ITN Description of Standards I'm probably a 7. I pretty much slice all my backhand shots and it confuses beginners, but intermediate players figure it out fairly quickly. My consistency and ball placement needs improvement, which is why I want to play more.

I live in Park Island, which is a private residental complex on the Island of Ma Wan. If you don't know Ma Wan Island it is in between Tsing Yi and Lantau, and you can see specifically the 3 hard courts and 1 artificial grass court in Park Island at ma wan, hong kong - Google Maps. It's fairly easy to get courts, so that's a plus.

Prices for the Park Island tennis courts are 30HKD/hour M-F before 6p. After 6p M-F $60HKD/hour and $65 Sat, Sun, & Public Holidays. I'm game to travel to Tsing Yi or farther if you know of available courts.

If it's raining we could always try to play table tennis, but the tables in Park Island are fairly thin. M-F before 6p is $10HKD/hour and $20HKD/hour the rest of the time. Only one table in a squash court and another one in another clubhouse activity room that has limited hours. Tsing Yi has two recreation centers and you can find more recreation centers with table tennis courts at LCSD Leisure Link - Booking of Leisure Facilities.

You can get to Ma Wan by bus from the Kwai Fong MTR, Tsing Yi MTR, Tsuen Wan MTR, and the airport. There is also a ferry from Central Pier #2. You can see the bus schedule and bus stop locations at Park Island Transport Company Ltd..

I'm much better at table tennis than tennis. I played table tennis in college a lot, and I'd love to play anytime.

You can play in a lot of the centers listed under leisure net. Otherwise I book courts from time to time at Lockhart sports centre!
