    QB House in Sheung Wan

Just a heads up to all you frugal people out there.

QB House will be opening up in Sheung Wan soon, Queen's Road Central (they used to have one in the Macau ferry terminal before).

For those of you who don't know, QB House offers 10 minute haircuts for HK$50.

I get a longer hair cut for $58 across the road from Blake Garden in Sheung Wan. 10 min. for a lot of hair is a bit on the fast side.

Do they do a do a good job? 10 min sounds fast.

But thanks for the heads up.

I also paid $38 IIRC in To Kwa Wan but moved this side.

Had my hair cut at QB house once... never again. I used to go to a tiny little one-man place in mid-levels, but it seems to have closed - was taken to a localish place around North Point/Quarry Bay by the gf a couple of months back and actually got a pretty decent cut for... can't remember exactly, but less than $50.

Had my hair cut at QB house twice so far, they opened in November or December near me. Can't complain, I am a simple man.

It seems a perfect product for me, with '10 minutes just cut' they definitely caught my attention.

I was sick and tired of mall saloon hair cuts, because it just takes too freaking long to wash your hair multiple times including bubble gum smelling conditioner at the end. And the cutting itself also takes way too long, it seems they don't just want to use the shaver a lot because it may give they impression of bad service.

I can't tell the difference between the final cut at QB House ($50) or the Mandarin Barber ($350 ish). Unfortunately, my wife can.

I have had cuts at QB in both Japan and here in Hong Kong - in neither place did the staff speak much English. Depends on who you get on the day though.

I've noticed the waiting times can alleviate the convenience of a quick trim - yes the hair cut might take 10 minutes but the long wait is annoying if you want to go at lunchtime or after work.

If all you want is a shaver to take it all off or down to the stubble then 10 min is fine. But I can't see how a proper haircut can be done in 10 min.

Depends on how you define proper.

Ten minutes is enough for a trim thats all, But then the type of people that go there don't have that much hair anyway

There is actually a local barber shop above QB House and has been there for a while already.

QB's for baldies? Better tell my boss to go there then. He's cheap and bald, and his wife always says he can't last more than 10 min.
