Kowloon Cricket Club - and surrounding area

I am moving to HK in 6-8 weeks and my boyf will be working for Kowloon Cricket Club (KCC) - www.kcc.org.hk

We will have free membership and i just wondered if anyone had any ideas of what the current members are like? The facilities look amazing but that is not everything.

Also we are looking to move into somewhere close by so the commute is not to hard but i will be looking for work in the city - does anyone have any suggestions of what areas in Kowloon i should be looking at..?

I live very close to the KCC and I recommend looking for a place around Austin Avenue, Chatham Road or if you can afford it..Cox Road.
Rents are around 12-14K in TST but Cox is roughly 35K.

KCC used to be very upmarket and popular before 97 but has been on the decline since.

Im a recent member of KCC and live very close to it.. found a place 900 sq ft for 11K pretty comfy. there's plenty of agents on hillwood road who will provide you some options.

members wise you get a mixed bag but generally are friendly and esp if you play any sport u will get to meet tons of ppl.

TST expat... dont understand the comment of KCC becoming less popular and less up market??

if anything its been done up and harder to get a membership these days.

Given some of tstexpat's posting.. chances are they might have let a couple of Indians who own tailoring businesses into the KCC.

Or have the Harilelas found a new place to get drunk every night?

So whats your BF going to be doing at KCC ? I have an affiliate membership for KCC but need a member to introduce me. My basic motive is to get to play some cricket
