    PCCW and Now TV Bills

    Hi

I recently moved and had to sign a new package for my Netvigator broadband and my NOW TV...

They come as two separate bills now with different payment accounts.

As far as I can see the Netvigator I can settled via payment at an ATM, however, on the NOW TV portion it says that I need to settle in cash at a 7-11 or set up a credit card payment...

I am wondering whether I can just settle both via ATM if I punch in the right account numbers and the type 62 bill....?

Why wouldn't you just pay by autopay? You're contractually committed anyway.

If you go the autopay route, you've got to contend with the company potentially overcharging you (either by error or intentionally via mystery fees and services) during the term of your contract as well as trusting them to stop charging you when the contract expires if you choose not to renew.

It's no fun having to navigate phone trees trying to find someone willing and able to refund spurious charges/fees/payments.

Making the payments manually keeps you in the driver's seat of the relationship.

In 12 years PCCW has never incorrectly billed me so that's a risk I'm happy to take.

I agree with pdlm, autopay is the way to go. 8 years with pccw and never had a problem. In fact recently I have found their customer service operators to have improved in how they handled an upgrade for me to their HD service. What spurious charges could they add? Fixed fee, fixed contract length? Posted via Mobile Device

Up until recently, upon expiry of your NowTV contract, if you did nothing the contract would automatically renew for the same length (18 or 24 months) at the same price.

Under recent PCCW changes, upon expiry of NowTV contract, if you do nothing they will automatically put you on a 'month by month' plan for the same channels but the cost is higher. They will automatically start charging you more if you do nothing. But you can get out of it easily any time you want.

The new system is better as far as I am concerned. But you do need to be on top of your contract, know when it will expire, and call them between 0-3 months before it expires to tell them how you want to renew it. If you do nothing, you will be hit with higher charges.
