    build-a-shelf?

i'd like to wall-mount some shelves with some attractive hardware or alternatively, put some together using metal vertical bars and long planks of wood. where do i look for this stuff? one shop clerk said in wanchai, but no specifics. any leads will be appreciated. thanks.

Ikea carries a variety of wall-mount shelves that may suit your needs.

There's a number of hardware stores on Lockhart Rd in Wanchai and also there is a store that have passed at the end of Wellington Street before Queen's Rd (Fitness First) that have shelves.

rani, was the store on wellington street a hardware type shop or low cost furnishings type place? i think hardware shop type places are more likely to have what i am looking for.

ikea and muji have decorative wall mounted shelving but you can't use it for any serious book weight.

There are a lot of hardware stores along Lockhart Road in Wanchai between O'Brien and Canal. There are also a couple of timber shops on Queen's Road East, East of the Hopewell Centre.
