anyone know if the eChannel will be accessible with resident ID (not permanant ID)?

its got all the info on the ID...same as the perm ones...


i just passed thru lohu this afternoon....and there is 3 windows for us....and about 20 echannels for permies....

the line for us was litterally 20 mins long...all the way to stairs

eChannel is for Perm Residents only. You still need to get your passport stamped, don't you?

im asking if they ever plan on expanding the echannel to the resident id holders......since its got all the same info and capabilities.....and maybe not stamp the passport anymore

Not possible at least untill Smart card replacement exercise is finished... Though, if i recall correctly, they do have plan for that in the long term..
