China Customs Clearance

    China Customs Clearance

    Does anybody know what the limit of cash (RMB) that i can take into China?

    I know there are restrictions going out but i am not sure about going in.

    I tried to get on the Customs website but it's vague and no reference to cash. It seemed to only focus on printed materials, foreign journalists and a few other things but not cash.

    20k in both directions. Foreign currency up to the equivalent of 5000 USD.
