Business visa on Arrival

Hello,

My wife & i wish to visit Hong kong to locate a business alliance for our family owned company. We may need to stay there for 3 months or more. The company will sponsor and finance our stay. We do not have any local sponsorer or any invitation from Hong kong company.

Please suggest if we could:-
1. travel to Hong Kong , obtain our BUSINESS visa on arrival for 14 days.

2. Next, Request the immigration officer to grant us an extention, for another 14 days or more.

3. Next , if needed, Exit to macua , re-enter and stay for another 14 days.

By this time , we will establish relationship with a local company and apply for a 2-3 months extention of stay.

Is this all o.k? I not sure. Please, please give your views.

1. You can not apply for a business visa on arrival at the airport if that is what you mean. If you are only intending 14 days then just come in as a visitor, this does allow for meetings which I guess is all you will be doing in that short time
2. and 3. You can not request this at the airport, you need to go to immigration tower or go to Macau or Shenzhen and re-enter.

Where are you coming from? The length of your tourist visa will determine how long you get on your visitor visa.
Apply for your business visa when you are here, but allow several weeks. There are many requirements for this - see other threads on employment visas.

You have made one thing clear to me,wei will not get a business visa on arrival? Although my intention is purely for business.

O.K, If i visit and collect a visitor visa on arrival, am i elgible to apply for a business visa after i establish a local business associate while i continue to stay there. OR Will i have to travel out and into to H.K.

How long does the approval of Visa for extended stay will take to be processed.?

Please help, i want to be clear and sure before we travel.
