Yes you get on-arrival visa for 14 days when you come in to HK.
At Immigration they might ask to see your Return airticket and hotel booking.
I alongwith my old daughter coming to Hong kong on 23rd September to visit Hong Kong and Disneyland. We have a confirmed return e-ticket for 27th September departure. I am staying in disneyland hotel for which i have a confirmed booking. i am planning not to carry any USD or HKD as I have International debit cards from India and Thailand. Can u tell me whether is it compulasary to carry USD or HKD to convince the immigration officials for VISA?
Many restaurants and stores do not accept credit cards in HK. You should carry a bit of cash on you.

What country is it compulsory to carry USD?
If you have a genuine reason to visit, are on a Indian passport and have a return ticket (you probably would not have made it on the plane anyway), you will gain a 14 day visa.
i would also suggest cash. if you are disneyland and you want to buy a bottle of water ($20HKD) are you going to debit every time? i don't even know if all of the stands have debit facilities...
DEFINITELY cash! not USD as you will get hit for exchange twice! just get HKD.
Nor do taxis, for example. You really need to have some cash, although obviously you could pull that from an ATM using one of your debit cards once you are through immigration.
I don't think I've heard of Immigration actually requiring you to have cash at their control points, so long as you look respectable you shouldn't have a problem.
thnx for the info
