From HK to Shen Chen need new visa?

Hi,

I have a working visa for Hong Kong, I am wondering if I want to goto Shen Chen do I need to apply for a China visa or the current Hong Kong one will get the through. If the HK visa doesn't work can US passport get there to visit without applying for a visa for short term stay?

Shenzhen (I assume that's where you mean) is not in Hong Kong, so you need a separate visa. As a US passport holder I believe it is impossible for you to get one at the border so you need to apply for a visa in advance. Details here: Address/Office hours/Enquiry service
