I am relocating to HK in October with my girlfriend. As my office is in central, I am looking for a 2 bedroom apartments along the island line. I was told that properties east of North point are much cheaper and affordable.
My original plan was to look for apartments in taikoo shing/kornhill as that area seems like a huge HDB estate in Singapore with many amenities. According to my friends, flats in kornhill are much cheaper than in Taikoo Shing. Any particular reason why?
Lately, I have also been looking for flats at North point as the flats there seem to be cheaper than taikoo shing and it is nearer to central. Can I ask among the 3 places, which is the best? I would very much prefer to have supermarket/gym/swimming pool located near my place.
My budget can stretch to 16000hkd for a 2 bedroom apartment but I would prefer to pay 15000hkd if possible. Any other recommendation for place to stay is also welcome.
