    Fitness Firsth

    Hi

Can anyone tell me if there is a fitness first in Mid levels? I already have a membership in Australia so it wont cost me a cent to use the ones in HK. I will be in HK for 3 months. The Apartment Im staying in has a small gym so would like to use fitness first instead (only if its close to mid levels)..

Also what are your thoughts on fitness first - are they decent sized? Clean?

    Thanks

There is one in Sheung Wan
    Overview - Grand Millennium Plaza

and one at the Exchange Square
    Overview - Exchange Square

Exchange Square is a Fitness First Platinum. No idea, if that is any restriction for you.

    Have a good stay.

FF puts the locations of its gyms on its website: Club Information

I have previous experience of FF and personally would not go near the place ever again.

Cleanliness of a gym depends, to some extent, on its users. Wherever you go, there will be some users who are not clean in their gym habits.

    Hi

Im not platinum so the one in Sheung Wan (Grand Millennium) sounds OK. I don't really know the area as I arrive in Mid-Levels next week. Is Sheung Wan far from Mid Levels? Needs to be close otherwise I will be too lazy and will simply go to pub instead

    Thx

    Guess it´s 10-20 minutes walk.
It can become the first challenge, if you will go through the bar areas. ;-)

    @Claire ex-ax
May i know the reason for that?

The men showers in Sheung Wan are a not in a good condition.
The rest of the gym seems to be normal in compare to others in HK.

I am a member of FF in Sheung Wan. The gym is decent enough but I hate the people there. Its a gay pickup joint, I wished I knew before joining

Ever thought that the more guys at the gym are gay, the better are the odds for the straight men?

AAbraham, if you really want to get fit amid scenery and not just doing the motions infront of a TV screen, try jogging it along Bowen Rd to the Bowen Rd Fitness Trail, as it is called. This is up on the upper part of mid levels. My hubby and I like to get fit, and we live up in the mid levels, and just discovered this yesterday afternoon. Many expats, locals, families, couples, singles like to use the trail, with various exercise points/stops along the way, such as monkey bars etc... Try it the view is amazing, and you won't want to venture inside another depressing gym.
