Where to dispose off old electrical appliances?

    Hi there,

Where in DB can we dispose off old electrical appliances (old mobile phone, old laptops, cables etc.)?

    Many thanks for the help!

Every now and then City Management arranges recycling days when you can bring electrical appliances you want to dispose off. Check with their service hotline when they plan to hold the next one.

Just dump it curbside in the middle of the night. Do it down the street, up the street, across the street. Do you have a car? Dump it in Wanchai on Lockhart Rd.

You seem to be a cucumber short of a sandwich. Why would the OP want to travel in the middle of the night from DB to Wanchai to dump unwanted appliances when there is a cheap, legal and environmentally friendly way dispose of them.
If you just wanted to prove that you indeed are a troll, congratulations - you succeeded!

Now that would be an insult to any self-respecting village idiot.
I think thick and troll mentioned together in one sentence sum up HKNumberOne nicely

Thanks Elle, we would prefer an environmental collection rather than dumping it in the trash. Hoping there is a recycling day soon as we are relocating and would like to get rid of it ASAP.

Schedule is here.. looks like you are out of luck living in Disco Bay though. Typically half arsed implementation though - seems it visits major areas once every six months. Hardly practical for most people.

You could also check with the computershop at the plaza. They were happy to take in my old laptop when it was beyond repair - as they could use some of the components.
Another option - if the appliances are still in working order - would be to ask you, your neighbour's or your friends helper whether they would have use for them.

Other option would be next time you take the ferry to Macau, they somehow are left at the luggage rack or somehow drop into the water.
