Party Venues?

I was planning to have a party for around 50-60 people, before the end of the year. So kind of short notice! Anyway, I liked the idea of the tram party or star ferry hire etc, although a bit costly.
Has anyone hired a venue that provides decent catering and drinks that is worthwhile? TST would be a preference, as it offers the best meeting point for my friends. At worst it will end up being drinks at a pub.
Any suggestions or great ideas?

Thanks I was feeling extravagant over the weekend! I think I will just do drinks at a TST pub I like, Hair of the Dog. Time is a restriction, plus I lost some enthusiasm!
