Why? You've gone on to say they weren't compatible which does beg the question why did they marry in the first place.
Mr SS and I fought like cat and dog when we first met 23 years ago (!). We broke up twice and got back together within the first two years, bought a house together after 3 and married one year after that (19 years ago to save you the arithmetic). Seems that we got all the crap out of the way early on. The couples I know who do argue regularly are those who do not communicate with each other, or sulk when they don't get their own way, or continue arguments for days on end.
