If your house has windows with lots of tiny glass fragments (like many old style houses) it would really be a lot of work to fit the film. In case you let a company or handyman do it for you (which is the way it works with the professional 3M films but there are DIY ones as well) make sure they actually clean the window and they have cleaned a window before (you'd be surprised sometimes, I just watched a guy painting a floor without cleaning it up, but you have been in HK long enough so who am I telling, lol).
