If you have ever visited a public hospital for treatment they are places of boredom and some more boredom thrown in. HONG Kong is no different.

From a limited number of visits to Hong Kong's public hospitals the management systems seem pretty efficient. Great use of technology.

The only unslick part was the collection of prescription drugs from the large centralised pharmacy. Payment and order initiation was fine but the lead time to pickup could be 15 mins to 2 hours depending on the backlog.

A new app that is city wide tells you when your drugs will / are ready at the appropriate pharmacy. Allowing you to go and spend some money in the coffee shop. If only they would introduce a paid for fast track service you could save the coffee money and get out quicker.

Anyway. Well done to the Hospital Authority for making life a little better for your patients.
