At the moment I stream Netflix onto my macbookpro and get the picture on the TV via HDMI adapter cable, but it would be so much easier if there was a Netflix app for the smart TV. I imagine there may be, but I'd need to use a VPN-enabled modem or something like that?

    Any thoughts appreciated
Assuming you have already looked for the Netflix app, it could be your TV's geo-location preventing you from seeing it.

Since it sounds like you are already running a VPN, an easy fix would be to buy a Roku and a VPN router. This would free up your computer.

I use unblock us at router level, netflix works perfect on tablet or the computer. Question is when i want to cast from computer to the tv via chromecast it does work, I guess it picks up the ip. Tried to reset the dongle and setup with ublock us active but still does not work. Any fix for this??
