SUMMARY: The Packaging Analyst is a mixture of Technical support and Project managementneeds. This position must handle pre and post-technical duties while interacting withmultiple parties, including clients. Project management and customer service skillsare helpful. Performs color measurement with spectrometers, scales and visual inspection. The position involves logging in the data into database programs and building reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Order entry of job information supplied from Client vendors. Organize elements; follow up communication with all parties on details of projects in a timely manner (status, reports, charts, etc.)
Conduct color measurement of print projects – Utilize spectrophotometers and measurementdevices.
Take direction from multiple parties within the facility
Back up all Customer Service duties as directed. Provide any client service help as needed.
Assist with Job costing, Invoicing & Billing.
Communicate inaccuracies or recommendations to management.
Utilize content management tools for retrieving and referencing images and files.
Handle email communication and file downloads and electronic file delivery.
Quality control – Checking data and reports for accuracy.
REQUIREMENTS (Specific knowledge, skills, education and abilities):
(DESIRED) 2 years experience with graphic programs in a Mac platform prepress environment
Associates degree in Graphic arts or related field preferred
Experience using Adobe Creative suite software and Microsoft office applications. Filemaker Pro experience is a plus. Experience with email programs helpful.
Strong knowledge of prepress processes and systems
Understanding of color theory, printing and graphics
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with team members, and management (Mandarin and English skills required)
Ability to complete work accurately in time-sensitive environment
Detail and deadline orientated
Able to multitask and be flexible.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY FOR: This position has no supervisory responsibilities, but may offer guidance and training to less experienced personnel for cross-training purposes.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position is primarily sedentary. The incumbent will frequently use fine manipulation of hands for typing and computer mouse usage. Occasional lifting and moving of products and packages of up to 30lbs.
