Physio (pilates + treatment) recommendations in Central or near?

    Hi guys,

Was hoping for some recommendations on good physios (preferably near Central) who run pilates sessions for strengthening lower backs and core muscles. Don't mind if it's group sessions either. An indication of pricing would be good just for my information if possible.

Would prefer they are good physios as well in case I need treatment.

I have a good osteopath at the moment for treating my lower back but I'm still clarifying whether my new work's medical insurance covers osteopaths. Hence my questions above!

    Thanks a lot in advance!

Quality Medical has a specialist section that does physio. Should be covered by many medical / insurance schemes.

    Thanks Pin, will PM.

    Any other recommendations appreciated.

Also, would be good to have specific person recommendations - I've seen a couple of other threads that recommend places (e.g. http://hongkong.geoexpat.com/forum/33/thread209245.html) but those places have a lot of physios in them!

And also, I don't mind if they're not physios and they run good pilates sessions - happy to pay out of my own pocket too.

Justin Faulkner ( http://www.physio-central.com/our-staff.html ) comes highly recommended by one of the HK rugby team guys.

I've not seen him yet - as I'm trying to figure out if my insurance will cover out of network physio or not.

I went a couple of the QHMS physio in Central. Waste of time and money. Would not go there again.

But that's just my personal choice.

OP, I've PM'd you some information. I'm not trying to advertise, however, if Shri is fine with it, I'll post the details on the thread so others can see it.

Thanks Pin, please post. Thanks for the recomm Shri. What Pin said is why I asked for specific recommendations for individuals, I find physio quality varies widely even within a clinic from physio to physio.

Damnit, I've lost my PM to the OP. OP, do you mind cutting and pasting what I had sent you? Sorry about that!!

FYI I think I got the 10 session package price wrong, it should be HK$6.5k, rather than HK$6k.

    Below is Pin's PM.

    Hello

I have used Perfect Pointe in the past:

    http://perfectpointe.com.hk/

The physio is a lady called Jenny. She is more about massage and needle therapy and doesn't really use any machines.

Her assistant helps with Reformer classes. I think you can buy a package for about HK$3750 for 5 session and HK$6000 for 10 sessions. You will get an assesement before the reformer classes by Jenny to see what you need to focus on.

I have no association with them, apart from having used them in the past.
