How to get telemarketers to stop calling?

Does anyone know how to get these people to stop calling?
They call almost every day, usually when I'm at work.
It's the same pattern each time:

    Telemarketer: Lee ho

    Me: Hello?

Telemarketer: (says some random gibberish in Cantonese)

    Me: Can you speak English?

    Telemarketer: *hangs up phone*

Really? You hang up when I ask if you can speak English? Lmao
Is there any way to block these type of incoming calls?

On android install an app I think called Kuma Studios, that'll block the calls.

On iPhone, I use Hong Kong Junk Calls, that doesn't block the calls, but it's recognised all the junk calls I've received and show up in caller ID.

Wait till you get the ones that instead of hanging up, demand you speak chinese.

My usual reply to those ones are It's my phone I can chose the language.

I feel as if there's been a kind of outbreak lately, and I'm quite tired of getting a call nearly every day. And then I've now started answering the phone rather rudely "Hello?!", but then am embarrassed when it's a legitimate call .

How do you say in Cantonese (w/ tones!) "don't ever call this number again"?

After I get one of those calls, I block that number. I get less now.

You can't stop them calling, but you can block them, my S4 has this function.

It's tax payment time, so you get a lot from "banks", only they are not banks but their contractors or random number generated callers. If they were banks you call their bluff saying you've opted out and you're going to complain, genuine bank calls ask for you by name.

Asking them not to call again doesn't work as its likely to be another telemarketeer.
