can anyone recommend a good cobbler?

Would like to get a pair of expensive leather boots fixed up - fabric inside the shoe is a bit torn up,
would like to get the material replaced or whatever.
Anyone know any decent places with reasonable prices? Also English speaking.

    found this on google:
Traditional Shoe / Leather Repair Man by Central MTR Station | Raven Tao : Big City Small Apartment
anyone been to him before, or if he's still in business?

    cheers

There are still a couple of old guys in that street. Have never used them for anything remotely expensive ( i buy my shoes on ebay!) , but take a look at what they have in their shop - if you see that others have trusted them with their expensive footwear, may be you're on the right track.

Also, try Vickies which has been recommended here ( https://hongkong.geoexpat.com/forum/...tml#post256815 ). I think they do ladies shoes and are popular with the expat community - will speak English.

I haven't used the guys in the street, but I have used a shop in the Shun Tak Centre. I can't remember the name of the shop, but they are in the Shun Tak Centre next to 7/11, near Fortress.

Great job on dressy work shoes, quick and very good english.

Great service. Extremely affordable as well. A lot cheaper than Mr. Groom.
