    In fairness, impa, I'm all for punishing speeders. Speed kills. That's a fact. Whether or not a particular road has the correct speed limit is another thing.

    There is an easy way to not get points or fines: stay under the speed limit.

    they zapped you at 87kmh but they give a tolerance of -3Kmh so you will be judged at actually 84khm and since you were not over 15kmh above the speed limit so NO points will be deducted, you were lucky with the -3Kmh tolerance.

    Only a fine of 320.

    always drive less than 15Kmh above the speed limit, that is what I stick to, to keep my points as its takes ages to get them back

    Are all speed signs in Hong Kong posted in "Kph" and not "Mph"?

    I thought HK had UK standard equivalent road signage; when did that change (if ever)?
