    A tiny problemo

    I accidentally paid twice of the same amount for this month's hk electric and towngas using internet banking, will they refund it back to my account if i ask them?

    Why bother? It'll just come off next months bill. Given the time it takes to move red tape I doubt you would get a refund any faster.

    Another good thing about living in HK. Keep it in mind when the pollution bugs you next time.

    they will not refund it back to you immediately

    don't worry, the money will not suddenly disappeared in your hkelectic and towngas accounts.

    Just that every city/country has its plus and negative sides. So if the pollution is bugging you or you feel annoyed with HK, keep this nice little benefit about utility companies being efficient in mind...

    (Unlike, say, staff for British local councils.)
