'Mobilegeddon' - do you live off your legacy ranking?

Google will change it's algorithm again tomorrow and it will choose business winners and losers.

...changes will only affect a site’s search ranking on mobile devices – and it only applies to individual pages, not entire websites. It also only impacts searches done on smartphones, not tablets.

I think this is a bit of a Y2K type scenario.

Not going to be as severe as the alarmists are going on about.

We'll see the stats in a few weeks on ShopInHK.Com which unfortunately remains mobile-hostile.

Totally agree ... seems much ado about nothing, although I might feel differently if I owned a business website.

Yeah, and several months later, no major effect. I think it is one of those very minor factors affecting ranking (if two sites were competing for the same result and scored exactly the same amount in terms of quality, dwell time etc, then the mobile site may get some boost).

Lots of consultants making lots of money in the mean time.
