    Yes, batteries are still around and some stores really keep old parts,
    been to one big puter mart in Taipei and was surprised by what they stock

    If this ever happens with a future laptop, you can just get the old Lithium cells swapped out and replaced at a place in SSP that specialises in this kind of thing.
